The variety is an epiphytic vine with pendulous stems that reach a length of about 90 cm under cultivation conditions. The plant's leaves have a waxy texture, a pointed shape, and a dark green color.
The flowers are characterized by a contrasting combination of bright red petals and dark purple-red buds. The plant is used as an ornamental indoor crop for tabletop placement or hanging baskets.
