The Soedjana Kassan variety, also known as Soeka, is an epiphytic plant with intermediate characteristics of its parents. A key feature is the dark striped pattern on the corolla, inherited from A. tricolor.
The plant typically blooms once a year, and the flowers are prone to dropping. The application of paclobutrazol contributes to an increase in the number of flowers and fruit development, while the use of ethephon shortens internodes and accelerates flowering initiation.
The plant is sensitive to the watering regime: waterlogging or drying out of the soil leads to leaf and flower drop. The variety is used as an ornamental indoor plant, suitable for hanging baskets and vertical gardening.
