The White Bitora strain, also known as Horst K32, is a form of Agaricus bitorquis. It was developed during breeding work using wild mushroom forms to obtain a culture resistant to viruses affecting button mushrooms.
The fruiting bodies of the mushroom have an intense silky-white color, a short stipe, and characteristic double rings on it. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to mechanical damage and a long shelf life.
Cultivation of this strain requires temperatures approximately 5°C higher than for Agaricus bisporus. The peculiarities of the growing process include sensitivity to errors and the formation of deep primordia.
