Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant is a bushy herbaceous perennial with upright stems that do not require staking. Leaves are lanceolate, dark green, with a serrated margin, and possess an anise aroma. Ruby-red tubular flowers are collected in large, dense spikes.

The flowering period of the variety is prolonged, spanning from early summer to autumn. The plant is characterized as winter hardy for USDA zones 6–8, though it may be susceptible to powdery mildew under high humidity conditions. The variety attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, and is suitable for cutting, use in flower beds, and as an aromatic additive.
