The name indicates the regional origin of the plant, as the term translates from Czech as "local." This ecotype was included in national lists for the introduction into cultivation of valuable wild forms possessing high adaptability to local soil and climatic conditions.
The plant is a perennial herb 30–120 cm tall with an erect pubescent stem, interrupted-pinnate leaves, and spike-like inflorescences with small golden-yellow flowers. It grows well in dry sunny areas with calcareous soils, and cultivation methods include both direct seeding and seedling methods.
The primary purpose is to obtain medicinal raw materials containing flavonoids and up to 10% tannins. The quality of the harvest depends on the method of harvesting: manual collection allows for cleaner material compared to mechanized harvesting, which increases the risk of contamination of the raw material with foreign impurities.
