Variety description
10 August 2026
The plant forms a basal rosette of leaves 10–16 cm long, which twist into a spiral the more intensely the more light they receive. Plant height including the flower stalk varies from 8 to 25 cm. In March-April, a flower stalk forms with drooping bell-shaped flowers of a yellow or yellow-green shade, possessing a pronounced aroma.
The variety is thermophilic and does not tolerate frost, therefore it is grown mainly as a potted crop. This is a winter-green plant: the active vegetation period falls in autumn and winter, while in summer a dormancy phase occurs, accompanied by yellowing and dying off of leaves. The crop is sensitive to excessive watering, which can cause rotting of the bulb.
