The variety Zalsamay, also known by the commercial name Mayfair, is characterized by large violet-white flowers. In an inflorescence on a single stem, 4 to 6 flowers are usually formed.

The plant is intended for use as a cut flower crop. The variety possesses high temperature tolerance and normal resistance to viruses. The traits of the variety are maintained by in vitro tissue culture propagation.
