The variety is mid-season: the period from emergence to harvest for greens takes 40–50 days, and for harvest for spices — 80–100 days. The plant height at the flowering phase is 100–120 cm. The leaves are large, green, sometimes with a glaucous tint and a weak waxy bloom; the stem is thickened.

The plant tolerates dense sowing and high temperatures well. Due to the thickened stem, the variety is resistant to lodging and also possesses resistance to root and basal rots. The greens are characterized by juiciness and a strong aroma, retain their commercial quality for a long time, and are suitable for drying and freezing.
