The variety has a strongly branching habit, forms dense mounds, and is characterized by a trailing growth form. The variety is profusely flowering and forms a large number of inflorescences.

In official classification, the shoot architecture of the plant is described as tending toward lodging or trailing. The variety is part of the Sultan series and is known in commercial documents as Sultan Red & Yellow.
