The variety has a compact, rounded, bushy habit. Plant height is classified as short or medium. The foliage is dark green, fragrant, and finely dissected.

Flowering is abundant, continuing from late spring or early summer until autumn. Inflorescences are heads with deep red ray florets and a yellow central part. The plant is thermophilic; in temperate climates, it is grown as an annual.
