Variety description

The plant forms a compact basal rosette with leaves directed upward and inward. The inner layers of leaves are held tightly.
Leaves are thick, lanceolate in shape, with a sharp or softly acuminate tip. The surface is covered with prominent gray-green tubercles arranged in distinct transverse rows; there are spines along the margins and on the upper part of the leaves. The general coloration varies from green to yellow.
