The Nagus variety belongs to the hulless type; the hull content in the grain is approximately 2–3%. The plant is characterized by a mid-early maturity group and uniform development.

The grain of the variety contains 15–16% protein and 7–8% fat, which is significantly higher than the indicators of traditional hulled varieties. The variety demonstrates high resistance to soil acidification and requires adherence to specific seeding rates.

Due to its grain composition, the variety is recommended as a component of feed mixtures for poultry, capable of partially replacing corn and soybean meal. The potential for use in the production of food products for human consumption is also noted.
