Begonia Rex Bolero (Begonia Rex-Cultorum) is an ornamental-foliage variety 10–40 cm high and up to 50 cm wide. The plant has large silvery-gray heart-shaped leaves with dark veins, burgundy petioles, and a wavy edge. The crop is grown for its foliage and prefers partial shade and diffused light.
Begonia tuberosa Superba Bolero (Begonia Tuberosa) is a bushy plant 20–30 cm high, intended for open field and containers. From June to October, it forms large double flowers of an apricot-orange shade up to 20 cm in diameter. The variety is sensitive to frost and requires digging up the tubers for the winter.
