Variety S2461 underwent agronomic testing in the late 2000s. Based on the study results, it was rejected and withdrawn from consideration, and as a result, it did not achieve commercial distribution.

During the assessment, it was determined that this variety did not demonstrate improvements in yield indicators and agronomic characteristics. The variety was also characterized by increased sensitivity to rust infection.
