The variety Stella is a cultivar of the species Boronia heterophylla, known as Red Boronia. Plants of this species are evergreen shrubs reaching a height of 1 to 1.5 meters and possessing an upright or spreading habit.
The plant is characterized by narrow aromatic leaves and abundant flowering during the spring period, when pink-red bell-shaped flowers appear. The species prefers well-drained acidic soils, partial shade, and protection from strong winds.
The variety is used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant, in group plantings, for container growing, and also for cut flower production.
