The variety is a compact plant, which in a number of descriptions is characterized by the presence of lilac-colored bracts, and is sometimes mentioned as a pink-flowered form. The flowers are small, white in color.
The plant belongs to ornamental species and is most often grown as a potted culture or a trained tree. The variety is not frost-hardy and requires placement in the sun when kept in bright rooms with a temperature of about 10°C in the winter period, preferring normal or moist soil.
