CWH 111 is classified as an open-pollinated variety, as opposed to hybrid forms. The plant is used for agricultural purposes for the production of vegetable oil and feed meal.
During variety trials conducted in the Great Plains region and the Midwest of the USA in 2007–2008, plant height was recorded in the range of 76–89 cm. During field observations, no signs of Sclerotinia or Phoma infection were recorded.
