Joplin is a line variety of spring oilseed rape, known under the breeding designation SW H2816. In terms of quality characteristics, the seeds belong to the group with low erucic acid and glucosinolate content, with an average thousand kernel weight of 3.95 g.
In production trials, the variety demonstrated an average yield of 2.91 t/ha. In breeding programs, the variety was often used as a reference sample for comparison with more modern hybrid forms of oilseed rape.
