The Kajsa variety was actively cultivated in Sweden and Finland in the second half of the 20th century. In modern breeding, it is known as source material: it was used in the development of the Karin and Starlight varieties.
In scientific literature, the variety is mentioned in the context of trials from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. In studies on the protection of oilseed rape against clubroot, the Kajsa variety appears as a control or reference sample. At the present time, the variety is considered obsolete and has been withdrawn from commercial production.
