The Largo variety is classified as winter turnip rape. It was created as a result of collaboration between the Jõgeva Plant Breeding Institute and Svalöf Weibull AB.

The variety demonstrates potential for use in organic farming. In field trials from 2007–2009, the maximum seed yield was 4915 kg/ha.
