The Ludwig variety is registered in the winter oilseed rape category. Historically, it was mentioned in the descriptive variety lists of Germany, for example in the 2009 edition, where its characteristics were reflected in a scoring system for growth and resistance parameters.
The variety is absent from modern current catalogs of new breeding achievements. It should be noted that varieties of other crops, in particular winter wheat, are also found under the name Ludwig in agricultural reference books, which requires careful attention when searching for information.
