The Markus hybrid is a single winter hybrid with a plant height of 160–170 cm. It is characterized by intensive initial growth in the autumn and rapid spring development. The hybrid possesses high resistance to pod shattering, as well as high tolerance to Phoma lingam and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.
Seed quality is characterized by an oil content of 46.7–49.4%, an erucic acid content of 0.0–0.1%, and glucosinolates of 19–21 mmol/g. Thousand kernel weight is 5.0–6.0 g. The plant is intended for classical cultivation technology, suitable for late sowing dates and short-term delayed harvesting.
