The Sheriff hybrid belongs to winter forms of oilseed rape. It is a "double-zero" type variety characterized by low erucic acid and glucosinolate content in the seeds.
During trials, the hybrid demonstrated high yield and resistance to lodging. To date, the variety is considered an outdated breeding development and is not represented in current commercial offerings of seed companies, having been superseded by more modern hybrids.
