Brassica napus var. napus Rapeseed · Agricultural · bred by MONSANTO| Monsanto SAS EDEN PARK - Batiment B

also searched as: каракас

Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the "00" type with low erucic acid content, making it suitable for food and technical use. In technical studies, the oil composition of this variety was often used as a control sample when evaluating the efficiency of biodiesel and biolubricant production.

In agronomic trials, the variety demonstrated resistance to phoma stem canker. In a number of studies from the early 2000s, Caracas showed competitive yield indicators. At present, the variety is considered historical, and its characteristics are inferior to modern hybrids in terms of productivity and lodging resistance.
