The variety is a hybrid. A key feature of its breeding was the use of a resistance trait to phoma stem canker, caused by the fungus Leptosphaeria maculans, aimed at increasing yield stability.
The plant possesses specific resistance to phoma stem canker. In a number of trials, the variety was also evaluated in the context of resistance to clubroot, with performance noted to be dependent on external conditions and infection pressure.
