Falcon is a winter variety of Brassica napus oilseed rape. It belongs to the "00" type group of varieties, which means low content of erucic acid and glucosinolates in the seeds.
In scientific literature, the variety often acts as a control object in research on resistance to pathogens, in particular to Verticillium longisporum, as it is characterized by susceptibility to a number of diseases. Breeders have used it as a parental line for the development of modern hybrids.
