The variety is a product of Swedish breeding from the late 20th century. Its lineage is based on selection from the combination of Kajsa × Comet.
The plant possesses high photosynthetic efficiency and frost resistance. The variety is often used in laboratory research to study processes of protein extraction from oilseed cake, as well as to evaluate their emulsifying and antioxidant properties.
As an oilseed crop, the variety is used as a model or comparative sample when conducting biochemical studies of seeds and studying plant resistance to climatic stresses.
