The variety belongs to spring oilseed rape. It was created as a result of experimental work on introducing the doubled haploid method, which allowed for obtaining a homozygous line significantly faster than by using traditional long-term self-pollination methods.
The plant is self-fertile; however, under natural conditions, it is not always prone to spontaneous self-pollination. Pollen transfer is carried out primarily by insects, and the presence of nectaries attracts pollinators, including honey bees.
Due to its genetic purity, the variety has been used for decades in scientific activities as a reference for studying meiosis and developing new breeding methods.
