The spring rapeseed variety Nugget belongs to old genetics and is not a modern double-low (00) variety. It is characterized by a high content of erucic acid in the oil.

Currently, the variety is used primarily in scientific research as genetic material for analyzing the composition of fatty acids, protein and glucosinolate content in seeds, as well as for studying the genetic diversity of the crop.
