The variety is non-hybrid and is intended for UK conditions. It is characterized by medium plant height and medium flowering and maturity dates, which allows for harvesting before the start of winter wheat harvest. The high productivity of the variety is achieved by increasing the number of pods per plant, as well as the number and size of seeds.
The plant possesses good lodging resistance and a stiff stem. Resistance to light leaf spot is 7 points, and resistance to Verticillium wilt is good. Resistance to Phoma leaf spot is rated as low (4 points), which requires fungicide control. The variety does not possess specific resistance to pod shatter and Turnip yellows virus.
