The variety belongs to winter forms of oilseed rape. Its appearance in 1973 was a significant milestone in breeding, as it was the first to demonstrate a low erucic acid content in oil, which allowed the product to be used for food purposes.
The plant has a standard growth type. Due to its qualities, the variety was actively used as a parent form in developing new varieties and lines, including the creation of dwarf forms through mutagenesis.
The variety is not used in modern commercial production, as it has been replaced by more productive and resistant hybrids.
