The variety was developed using the individual-family plant selection method in hybrid crossing combinations. It belongs to the erucic acid-free and low-glucosinolate varieties.
The seeds contain 47.1–49.1% oil and about 17% protein. The oil contains 67–69% oleic acid; erucic acid is absent. Glucosinolate content is 0.6–0.8%.
