The variety is a local Hungarian landrace that formed in the area of the city of Mohács. The plant is characterized by strongly crinkled blue-green leaves and forms dense heads of obtuse-conical or rounded shape, weighing from 0.35 to 0.70 kg with a short core.
The variety possesses good cold hardiness and drought tolerance. Harvesting when grown as a winter crop occurs in March-April. The plant is demanding of soil fertility and responsive to the application of compost, and in the spring it requires loosening and hilling.
