The variety is used for forage production, including ensiling, due to its optimal dry matter and saccharide content. Its high rate of germination and development allows it to be used for rapid landscaping and soil erosion control.

The plant demonstrates tolerance to drought, heat, and low soil fertility, although it requires fertilization to achieve maximum yield. The variety is capable of providing up to 3–4 cuts per season.

Morphologically, the variety is a short-lived perennial with a robust surface root system. The produce is characterized by a high content of fiber complex, and the crop's potential as an energy feedstock is also being investigated.
