The plant reaches a height of 30 to 40 cm, with individual specimens growing up to 60–70 cm; the bush width can reach up to 60 cm. The leaves are situated on thin, rigid petioles. During its life cycle, the plant performs cyclic movements, curling its leaves towards the evening and unfurling them in the morning.

The variety prefers partial shade, as direct sunlight causes leaf blade fading. In phytopathological studies, the plant's susceptibility to fungal diseases, particularly Pyricularia oryzae, was noted.
