Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work initiated in 1998 in Kagoshima Prefecture. Hybrid FYZ-41 (a cross between Yabukita and Shizu-Inzatsu 131) was used as the female parent, and the Saemidori variety served as the male parent.

The plant belongs to early-maturing varieties and is characterized by an earlier start of the growing season compared to Yabukita. After processing, the leaves and buds acquire a pronounced floral aroma. Cultivation is recommended in warm regions with an average annual temperature of 15–18°C, provided sufficient lighting is ensured.
