Albaregia is an early-maturing sweet pepper variety of Hungarian origin. The plant is characterized by a sturdy bush about 50 cm tall and good resistance to diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus.
The fruits are of the "wax" pepper type, have a blocky shape, and thick walls. The average weight of a single fruit is about 170 g. At technical maturity, the color is light yellow; upon full ripening, it is orange-red.
The variety is an open-pollinated (heirloom) type and is distinguished by its versatility; the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, stuffing, grilling, and culinary processing. It is suitable for cultivation in open field and protected cultivation.
