The commercial hybrid Sauron F1 is a mid-season pepper with a vegetation period of 70–75 days. The plant reaches a height of 70–90 cm. The fruits have a length of up to 22 cm, a diameter of about 5 cm, an intense red color with chocolate stripes, and dense crunchy flesh up to 8 mm thick.
