Fruits have a pointed, hooked, or truncated conical shape approximately 10 cm in length and 5 cm in diameter. The color changes from green to dark red upon ripening. Distinctive features include very thin flesh with a thickness of 1.5–2.2 mm and a strong connection between the peduncle and the fruit.
The plant is adapted to the microclimate of the Sinni and Agri river valleys. The fruit flavor is sweet, not pungent. Due to the structural characteristics of the fruit, it is ideal for natural drying in bunches, after which it acquires a crispy texture when fried or is used in ground form.
