10 August 2026
The plant forms a compact and sturdy bush with a height of 45 to 70 cm, reaching 100 cm in protected cultivation. Dense foliage provides protection for the fruits against sunscald. The variety is classified as early or mid-early: the growing period from seedling transplanting is 65–80 days.
The fruits have a ribbed, round-flattened shape with a diameter of 7–9 cm and a weight of 100 to 340 g. The color changes from dark green at technical maturity to bright red at biological maturity. The wall thickness is 6–12 mm. The flesh is sweet, sometimes with a slight spiciness near the seed cavity.
The variety possesses resistance to tobacco mosaic virus and relative resistance to blossom-end rot. The fruits are suitable for stuffing, preserving, baking, fresh consumption, and preparing salads. There are mentions of hybrid forms Topepo Rosso F1.
