The variety is the result of a natural mutation of the entire Cereus peruvianus plant. The stems of the plant have a dark green color and a ribbed shape. In indoor conditions, the variety maintains compact dimensions suitable for growing in small containers.

The plant is used as a decorative indoor cactus. It requires good lighting, moderate watering, and a well-drained substrate. The species is not frost-resistant and must be kept at a temperature above +10°C.
