Variety description

The plant forms a loose upright or slightly spreading clump 60 to 90 cm tall with narrow lanceolate leaves resembling bamboo. A characteristic feature is the longitudinal creamy-white stripes on a green background; in autumn, the foliage may acquire a copper-bronze or yellowish hue.
Flowering occurs from the second half of summer to early autumn. Graceful drooping panicles with flat spikelets transition from green to pink and copper-bronze, persisting on the plant until winter. The variety is resistant to Verticillium wilt and suitable for cultivation in USDA hardiness zones 4–9.
The plant prefers moderately moist and well-drained soils, adapting to soil compositions from sandy to clayey. Propagation is recommended by division of the clump, as seedlings resulting from self-seeding usually lose their variegation.
