The variety belongs to the late-flowering category; when grown in open field, the flowering period occurs at the end of October. The plant has medium vigor and a compact habit, which allows it to be used for small plantings.

A distinctive external feature is the dark foliage with a purple hue on the underside of the leaf blade. The variety is intended for commercial floriculture and is part of the "Yahou" series, along with the "Yahou Lilas" and "Yahou Orange" varieties.
