The variety is a mutant form of the Reagan chrysanthemum that arose due to gamma irradiation. It belongs to the Asteraceae family. Externally, it differs from the base variety in the specific cream color of the inflorescences.

Plants of the Reagan group have stems about 75–80 cm high and medium-sized inflorescences. The Cream Reagan variety is used in flower bed design and container landscaping, and is also popular as a cut flower crop due to its ability to maintain freshness for a long time.
