The variety is derived from the parent variety Stingray and differs from it by an increased growth vigor of 4–8 inches and a later response time of 3–4 days.

The Dancer chrysanthemum belongs to the spray-type group and has single-type inflorescences. It possesses resistance to white rust Puccinia horiana. It is actively used as an object for genetic research and as a parent form in hybridization.
