The variety is one of the chrysanthemum mutant lines obtained at the National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science in Korea. Mutations were induced by exposure of young plants propagated by tissue culture to gamma radiation.

During breeding experiments, mutants with altered flower parameters were obtained. Specific morphological characteristics, such as plant height, maturity group, or disease resistance indicators, are not recorded in the available materials.
