The historical Jade variety belongs to the spider chrysanthemums. Its flowering cycle is 9 weeks, and the plant is capable of producing quality inflorescences throughout the year. The variety was used as a parent form in the breeding of other cultivars, such as Jasmine.

The modern commercial variety Felicidad™ Jade is a button-type spray chrysanthemum. Its distinctive features are the dark green color of the inflorescences, resistance to white rust, and a long vase life.
