The variety belongs to the spray chrysanthemum group. The inflorescences are capitula, often of a semi-double form. There is a variation, Katinka Salmon, which is characterized by a salmon-orange petal color with a yellowish tint.

The plant has dark green leaves with pinnate lobing and serrated edges. The variety is intended primarily for use as a cut flower crop in bouquets and floral arrangements, although it can be grown as a garden plant.
