The variety is characterized by the presence of a deep sinus on the lower lateral lobe of the leaf. Ray florets in the inflorescence are arranged in a moderately ascending manner.

Comparative descriptions indicate that the variety has a smaller inflorescence diameter and shorter ray florets compared to the "Currant Yoirvine" variety.
