The Merrilee variety produces oval-shaped fruits. The surface color is characterized by the presence of faint, wide dark green stripes on a light green background.

In agronomic literature, it is noted that this watermelon is similar in its external characteristics to the Tri-X-313 variety. The variety is included in the official watermelon variety lists of the European Commission.
